How Much Does a Miniature Xoloitzcuintli Cost?

The price of a Miniature Xoloitzcuintli puppy depends on the puppy's individual quality, pedigree, conformation, breeding potential and intended future.

At Sine Metu, we do not consider all puppies from a litter to have the same value. Each puppy is evaluated individually as it develops, and its price reflects whether it is intended primarily as a companion, as a future breeding dog, or for a show and breeding program.

Our standard prices below apply to hairless Miniature Xoloitzcuintli puppies.

Sine Metu Miniature Xoloitzcuintli Puppy Prices

Our current pricing structure is:

Puppy typePricePet Class€1,500Breeding / Show Male€2,000Breeding / Show Female€2,500Puppy with a significant show-disqualifying faultfrom €1,000

The final evaluation is always individual, because puppies develop at different rates and their potential becomes clearer as they grow.

Pet Class Miniature Xoloitzcuintli — €1,500

Pet-class puppies are €1,500.

These puppies are intended primarily as companions and family dogs.

A pet-class puppy can still be a beautiful, healthy and excellent representative of the Miniature Xoloitzcuintli breed. The difference is that we do not consider the puppy suitable or necessary for a professional breeding or show program.

Pet class does not mean poor quality. It means that the puppy's future purpose is primarily to be a companion.

Breeding and Show-Quality Miniature Xoloitzcuintli

For puppies with breeding or show potential, our prices are:

Male — €2,000

Female — €2,500

These puppies are selected with a future breeding or show career in mind.

When evaluating a promising puppy, we consider qualities such as:

A show or breeding puppy is not selected simply because it is attractive as a young puppy. We look at the qualities that may remain important throughout its adult life and contribute to a responsible breeding program.

Why Are Female Breeding Puppies More Expensive?

At Sine Metu, the price of a breeding/show-quality male is €2,000, while a breeding/show-quality female is €2,500.

This difference reflects the role females play in the development of a breeding program.

A carefully selected female can become an important part of future generations and may remain in a breeding program for many years. For this reason, we evaluate potential breeding females particularly carefully.

What About Coated Miniature Xoloitzcuintli Puppies?

The price of Coated Miniature Xoloitzcuintli puppies is generally lower than the price of hairless puppies.

However, there is an important exception.

If a Coated puppy has breeding and show quality, its price and value are the same as those of a hairless puppy of comparable quality.

The presence of a coat does not automatically make a high-quality breeding dog less valuable.

A Coated Miniature Xoloitzcuintli with excellent structure, type, pedigree, temperament and breeding potential can be just as valuable to a breeding program as a hairless Miniature Xoloitzcuintli of comparable quality.

Therefore, the price of a Coated puppy depends on its individual quality and intended purpose.

What If a Puppy Has a Significant Show-Disqualifying Fault?

Very rarely, a puppy may be born with a significant conformation fault that prevents it from being suitable for a professional show or breeding program.

One example is a pronounced undershot bite.

An undershot bite can be a serious issue from a show and breeding perspective, but it does not in itself mean that the dog is unhealthy.

A puppy with such a fault can still grow into a healthy, happy companion dog and have a normal quality of life.

Because such a fault can prevent a dog from having the intended show career and from being used in a responsible breeding program, the price of such a puppy can be substantially reduced.

Prices for puppies with significant show-disqualifying faults may start from €1,000, depending on the individual puppy and the circumstances.

These puppies are extremely rare, but such cases are possible.

At Sine Metu, transparency is important. If a puppy has a significant fault that affects its show or breeding potential, we explain this clearly to the prospective owner before the purchase.

Does a Show Fault Mean the Puppy Is Unhealthy?

No.

This distinction is important.

Show quality and health are not the same thing.

A puppy can have a conformation fault that makes it unsuitable for the show ring while remaining a perfectly healthy companion dog.

An undershot bite, for example, may significantly affect a dog's show and breeding prospects without necessarily affecting its general health or quality of life.

For this reason, we distinguish between a puppy's health and its show or breeding potential when evaluating each puppy.

Why Can Puppies From the Same Litter Have Different Prices?

Puppies from the same litter have the same parents, but they do not necessarily have identical conformation or future potential.

As puppies grow, differences can become more visible.

One puppy may develop into an excellent companion but not be suitable for breeding.

Another may show qualities that make it promising for a breeding program.

Another may have particularly strong show potential.

This is why responsible breeders may assign different prices to puppies from the same litter.

The price reflects the individual puppy, not simply its parents, sex or color.

What Determines the Price of a Miniature Xoloitzcuintli?

When determining a puppy's class and price, Sine Metu considers a combination of factors.

Pedigree and Bloodlines

The puppy's ancestry and the qualities represented in its pedigree are important when considering future breeding potential.

Conformation

Structure, proportions, topline, underline, head and movement are evaluated as the puppy develops.

Skin Quality

For the hairless Xoloitzcuintli, skin quality is an important part of our selection process.

Temperament

A good breeding dog should not only look correct. Stable temperament is also an important part of responsible breeding.

Show Potential

Some puppies have qualities that make them promising candidates for a show career.

Breeding Potential

Breeding-quality puppies are evaluated according to how they may contribute to future generations rather than simply how they look as young puppies.

Is the Most Expensive Miniature Xoloitzcuintli Always the Best Choice?

No.

The most expensive puppy is not automatically the best puppy for every buyer.

A family looking for a companion may have completely different priorities from an experienced breeder looking for a future breeding female.

This is why we do not believe in choosing a puppy based only on price.

The right puppy should match the owner's goals, lifestyle and expectations.

What Should You Ask a Miniature Xoloitzcuintli Breeder?

If you are comparing Miniature Xoloitzcuintli breeders in Europe, do not ask only about the price.

Ask about:

A responsible breeder should be able to explain how puppies are evaluated and why a particular puppy belongs to a particular class.

Buying a Miniature Xoloitzcuintli in Europe

For international buyers, the puppy price is only one part of the total cost.

Depending on the destination country, additional expenses may include:

These requirements vary by country, so buyers should always check the regulations applicable to their destination.

Sine Metu works with families and breeding partners in different European countries, and international puppy placement can be arranged according to the applicable requirements.
