There are litters that you remember because they were beautiful.
And there are litters that stay with you for much deeper reasons.
Litter J is one of those litters for me.
In 2022, our beloved Roksolana Mechta Zhyzny gave birth to her final litter. She was 8 years old, and this was the last litter we planned for her.
Five Hairless puppies were born:
Sine Metu Galicia
Sine Metu Grace
Sine Metu Gloria
Sine Metu Geraldine
Sine Metu Gerard
Five puppies who would later grow up in different countries and become completely different dogs, each with their own story.
This was the first — and, hopefully, the last — litter in our kennel born by Caesarean section.
Roksolana was already an older breeding female, and we made the decision with her safety and the safety of the puppies as our priority.
This was also the final litter of a very important dog in the history of Sine Metu.
Roksolana passed away in 2026 at the age of 13.
Her passing was not connected with this litter or with the Caesarean section. She simply reached the end of her life.
But her five children remain, and today, four years later, they are living their own lives in different parts of Europe and Ukraine.
Galicia lives in Germany, in a family with six children.
She is treated as the family's seventh child — loved, spoiled and completely included in everyday family life.
She could not have found a more fitting home.
Gerard lives in Finland, where everyone calls him Geo.
Geo has a very active and interesting life. He trains in agility and takes part in different training activities.
His family invests a great deal of time in his intellectual development.
Geo enjoys puzzle toys and activities where he has to figure things out and manipulate objects. He also works with trainers and participates in different forms of training.
He is an exceptionally intelligent, well-trained and wonderfully cared-for dog.
Gloria lives in France and has had a remarkable show career.
She is a Champion of France, Champion of Belgium and Champion of Italy.
She has become a beautiful representative of Sine Metu far from her birthplace in Ukraine.
Grace also lives in France.
Like her sister Gloria, she has taken part in shows and has become a Champion of France.
Two sisters from the same litter, now building their own stories in another country.
Geraldine stayed in Ukraine and lives in Lviv.
She has become an exceptionally successful show dog:
Champion of Ukraine
Junior Champion of Ukraine
Grand Champion of Ukraine
She has also won BOB — Best of Breed — 12 times.
Geraldine is one of those dogs who enters the ring and immediately attracts attention. She is beautiful, confident and clearly enjoys showing herself.
When I look at these five dogs today, it is fascinating to see how differently their lives developed.
Galicia became the beloved seventh child of a large German family.
Geo became an intelligent little athlete in Finland.
Gloria and Grace built successful show careers in France.
Geraldine stayed in Ukraine and became one of our successful show females.
Five puppies.
Five families.
Five completely different lives.
But all five began together, with their mother Roksolana Mechta Zhyzny.
Roksolana was a very important dog for Sine Metu, and knowing that this was her final litter made those five puppies especially precious from the beginning.
Today, when they are already four years old, I can look at each of them and see not only the puppies they once were, but the lives they have built.
This is one of the things I love most about breeding.
A litter begins as five little puppies lying together.
Then, little by little, each one becomes an individual.
A family member.
A show dog.
An athlete.
A companion.
A beloved dog living thousands of kilometres away.
And somehow, all of those stories remain connected to the same beginning.
Roksolana is no longer with us.
But her final litter is.
Galicia in Germany.
Gerard — Geo — in Finland.
Gloria and Grace in France.
Geraldine in Lviv, Ukraine.
Five dogs, born in 2022.
Four years later, they are still writing their stories.
And for me, they will always be Roksolana's last five puppies.

A very special chapter in the history of Sine Metu.
And one that I will always remember. ❤️
