Planning a responsible breeding program means thinking far beyond the next litter.
At Sine Metu, we plan our breeding program several years ahead, following the development of our young dogs, evaluating their structure and temperament, studying pedigrees and bloodlines, and thinking carefully about which combinations can contribute to the next generation of Miniature Xoloitzcuintli.
The 2027 breeding season is planned as an important new chapter for Sine Metu.
We are preparing several carefully considered pairings, planning the introduction of new international bloodlines, continuing the development of our young dogs, and preparing for a major change in the location and registration structure of our kennel.
Our plans include up to four litters during 2027, depending on the health, maturity, timing and breeding suitability of the dogs involved.
The first planned pairing of 2027 is Sine Metu Rose and Sine Metu Wilkoria Cris.
Rose is one of our promising young females, and we are particularly interested in watching how she continues to develop into adulthood.
Wilkoria Cris brings a different set of qualities to the pairing. He has a strong masculine type, excellent topline and underline, and the structure we value in a Miniature Xoloitzcuintli male.
This combination is especially interesting to us because breeding is not simply about putting two attractive dogs together. The goal is to understand what each dog contributes and how their pedigrees, structure, type and qualities can complement each other.
We are looking forward to seeing what this combination may bring to the next generation.
The second planned pairing is Nala Potencjał FCI and Sine Metu Wilkoria Cris.
Nala is an important part of our breeding program and represents another branch of our carefully developed Miniature Xoloitzcuintli lines.
Cris will therefore have an important role in two of our planned 2027 combinations.
Having several planned pairings involving the same male does not mean producing identical litters. Each female brings her own pedigree, structure, temperament and genetic background, and each combination is evaluated individually.
For us, this is part of building a breeding program gradually rather than simply producing as many puppies as possible.
For the second half of 2027, we are planning another particularly interesting combination:
Sine Metu Helga × Leon Langarica.
Leon Langarica is a Mexican-imported Miniature Xoloitzcuintli male who has an important place in the history of our breeding program and represents valuable Mexican bloodlines.
Helga is a black Miniature Xoloitzcuintli female developed within Sine Metu.
This planned pairing is especially interesting from a bloodline perspective. We are looking at the qualities that Leon has already contributed to our program and considering how his lines can be combined with Helga for a future generation.
As with every planned litter, the final decision will depend on the condition and suitability of both dogs at the time of breeding.
Another pairing planned for the second half of 2027 is:
Hermione Diva Magica for Sine Metu Del Charm Eminio × Sine Metu Wilkoria Cris.
This is another combination we are watching with great interest as part of our longer-term breeding strategy.
The purpose of planning these pairings so far in advance is not to guarantee a particular outcome. Dogs continue to develop, and responsible breeding decisions must always take into account their health, maturity, physical development and overall suitability at the time of breeding.
Our current 2027 plan includes three to four possible litters, depending on how the dogs develop and how the breeding calendar evolves.
This is an important distinction.
A breeding plan is not a promise that every planned mating will take place.
For us, the dogs come first.
If a female needs more time to mature, if a pairing no longer appears appropriate, or if health, development or other circumstances suggest waiting, the plan can change.
That flexibility is an essential part of responsible breeding.
The FCI's breeding principles emphasize long-term breeding objectives, functional health, stable temperament and the preservation of genetic diversity rather than breeding simply for numbers.
One of our major goals for 2027 is the introduction of fresh Miniature Xoloitzcuintli bloodlines into the Sine Metu breeding program.
We are currently looking at dogs from respected Mexican kennels and are considering both a female and a male for future integration into our program.
We are already on a waiting list with one kennel for a male that may become available to us in 2027.
We are not rushing this process.
Finding the right dog for a breeding program can take considerable time. Pedigree, type, structure, temperament, health, genetic background and compatibility with our existing lines all matter.
For a breeder working with a relatively rare breed such as the Xoloitzcuintli, maintaining genetic diversity and introducing appropriate new bloodlines can be an important part of long-term planning. This is also consistent with the FCI's emphasis on sustainable breeding and genetic diversity.
We have also decided to keep Sine Metu Yasmin, a red Coated female, and continue watching her development.
Yasmin is particularly interesting to us because she is already showing significant show and breeding potential.
At this stage, we do not want to make premature conclusions.
We want to see how she develops physically and mentally as she matures.
If she continues to meet our expectations, Yasmin may become an important part of the future Sine Metu breeding program.
We will introduce her properly on our website as her development progresses, including her future show and breeding plans.
Before the planned relocation of our kennel, Sine Metu Rose also has an important show goal.
While we are still based in Ukraine, we plan to continue showing Rose and work toward completing her Ukrainian adult Champion title.
After our relocation, our focus will naturally shift toward participating in dog shows in Poland and continuing her show career there.
For us, exhibitions are not only about titles. They are also an opportunity to evaluate our dogs against the breed standard, receive assessments from different judges and continue developing our breeding decisions.
One of the biggest changes planned for 2027 is the relocation of the Sine Metu kennel to Poland.
This will not simply be a change of address.
We are preparing for a broader transition involving the location of the kennel and the registration and breeding documentation connected with it, moving from the Ukrainian cynological system to ZKwP (Związek Kynologiczny w Polsce), the Polish national canine organisation within the FCI system.
The formal process will be completed according to the applicable regulations.
The FCI breeding regulations specifically address the situation when a kennel-name owner moves to another FCI member country: the kennel name should be registered in the new country before a litter is born there, with the national organisation informing the FCI about the transfer.
This means that 2027 will represent not only a new breeding season for Sine Metu, but also a major new stage in the history of our kennel.
The 2027 program is therefore about much more than individual litters.
It is about building the next stage of the Sine Metu breeding program.
Our priorities are:
Some plans will change. Some pairings may move to a later date. Some young dogs may surprise us as they mature.
That is normal.
A serious breeding program has to be flexible because the dogs themselves ultimately determine the future of the program.
For Sine Metu, 2027 is shaping up to be a year of significant change.
We are planning new litters, new bloodlines, new show goals and a new home for our kennel.
Most importantly, we are planning for the future rather than simply planning the next litter.
Our goal remains the same: to continue developing the Miniature Xoloitzcuintli we believe in, while building a thoughtful, sustainable and internationally connected breeding program for the generations to come.
2027 will be a new chapter for Sine Metu — and we are very excited to see where it leads.
